Helen is a Sydney based photographer. Her attraction to photography began from a strong influence and love of cinema at a young age.
To be able to set a mood or create an emotion through lighting and subject matter is what Helen loves to do, whether it is through portraiture, landscape, or still life; “It just has to evoke a story or stir up a certain feeling or response for the viewer”.
Her main area is portraiture and still life but recently she has been experimenting with night photography and ‘painting with light’. Creating more of a contrast or a moody look. She selectively lights up parts of the subject she thinks will help convey her idea in mind.
After finishing her diploma at Tafe Sydney Institute she is starting up her own business focusing on portraiture and will also continue to create images inspired from history, paintings, movies, characters and books.
