Daniel James is a freelance photographer and has enjoyed both visual arts photography for over 10 years.
Shooting for his own small business ‘Stylemax Photography’, Daniel has shot a range of subjects from weddings, catalogues and corporate events; to parties, bands and live stage performances.
Working full-time as a travelling sales representative, Daniel has the opportunity to see much of the countryside throughout NSW. In 2010 he received 3rd place in the 5 Lands Walk photography competition for his landscape shot ‘Water Dragon’.
However through TAFE Ultimo’s Photo Imaging course his main passion has come to light, and now thoroughly enjoys shooting bands, stage performances and people.

 

Between 2011-2013 he has photographed many well-known musicians such as Michael Franti, John Legend, Art Vs Science, Trial Kennedy, the Potbelleez, Strangers, Ash Grunwell, & the Beautiful Girls. Daniel also continues to shoot many unknown gifted artist to help reveal undiscovered talent. He has also work as a photographer during promotional tours for Mike Tyson and porn star Jesse Jane in 2012.
In 2012 Daniel was the official festival photographer for the Newton’s Nation Festival in Bathurst and the Reunion Festival on the Central Coast.
Once completed his studies Daniel hopes to continue to take more ‘music photography’, whilst continuing to refine studio portraits and other interesting subject matter including people.
